SEAN + ANGELLA :: ENGAGEMENT

Sean and Angella, who are getting married this September at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, are one of those couples who are a joy to photograph -- they can't help but interact with one another and every time they look at each other, they get that "I am so in LoOoOoVe" look in their eyes. Sean had been a friend of mine since the college-age party years -- I am soo happy for him; I am only slightly miffed that I'll have to be sneakier about hitting on him at parties ;) Congratulations you two -- you are gorgeous people, inside and out!

MEGAN + AARON :: WEDDING

You'll remember Megan and Aaron from their rockin' engagement session a few months ago at St. Anthony Main and the Manny's Living Room. They tied the knot in EPIC New Year's Eve party fashion at The Depot in Minneapolis. Blasted Minnesota weather brought RAIN when we would have taken photos outside (poo!), but the day was saved by a gorgeous venue that provided a lovely backdrop for all the photos that were moved inside. Enjoy.

Sparklers while Megan and Aaron exited the church was a perfect fit for a New Year's Eve wedding :)

Megan arranged the most incredible food for pass hours-devours -- mac-n-cheese with lobster, ahi-tuna crisps, and grilled cheese with tomato soup shooters. I ADORE the comfort-food-made-fancy!

The reception decor was modern-glamorous. Using mostly black, white, and bright tealish-blue, Megan turned twiggy accent pieces into works of art, hanging crystal ornaments, garlands, and mini chandeliers from every possible place.

Days after the wedding, even before Megan saw the wedding photos, she sent me this message:

Well its over : ( So sad but happy. What a memorable night, weekend, all of it. I am so thankful that you were apart of my special day. Everyone couldn't get over how cool you were to work with. There were people the next day that were like "yeah, that photographer, you can tell she got some great shots -- she was flying across the floor and everything." : ) They all said "you can tell she is talented and loves what she does!" YAY!!!!

Aaron said to me last night, "I cant wait to see the pictures, I think it's a really good idea she was there all night" ME TOO! We were very thankful to have you there with us. You're the best! The new... Megan Soper.

OMG!!! Almost forgot the super super important news. Aaron LOVED LOVED LOVED the boudoir book. Gave it to him the night of the wedding when we got back to the room. Since then he keeps looking at it and was like "Did Britt really do this, WOW!" He he! ITS AMAZING absolutely AMAZING!!!!

And then, after the photos went live... not to toot my own horn or anything, but...

WOOOOOHOOOOO! A-mazing job : ) Aaron and I LOVE our wedding pics! They are breathtaking all of them. You did a marvelous job, I just am soooo thrilled with how they turned out. And fast, wow was that a fast turn around time! Words can not express how happy we were to get them back and look at them. We have our slide-show on continuous so we are peeking it at it all day today.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts : )

CONGRATULATIONS, MEGAN AND AARON, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU BOTH AGAIN!

RENDER BRIDE FEATURED IN STAR TRIB

Today, on the very front page of the Variety section of the Star Tribue, you'll find Kirsten Mortenson, a bride photographed by Render last August, featured in an article about the growing popularity of vintage elements in weddings. NICE!

LIZ + JONO :: WEDDING

Liz and Jono's wedding on December 18 at the Landmark Center was a total success. Despite some serious cold, Liz, Jono, and the wedding party agreed to take photos outdoors and I am SO glad they did -- there's nothing quite like sunlight filtered through clouds then bounced off of snow. Downtown St. Paul was decorated for Christmas, creating a perfect atmosphere for the celebration.
